Setouchi tops National Geographic Traveller 2019 Cool List

National Geographic Traveler has named 19 must-see destinations in 2019.

From remote rainforests and some intriguing wildlife spots to some of the most famous cities around the world, this exciting list is sure to provide plenty to ponder for holidaymakers around the world.

Topping the list is the unique Japanese city of Setouchi, found on the country’s scenic coast. Away from the bustling capital Tokyo, Setouchi is known for its natural beauty and art scene.

In a major boost for the city, Dundee, Scotland, has also been featured on this notable list, occupying 15th place.

The city has just seen the opening of the fantastic Dundee V&A museum last Autumn, situated on the historic waterfront next to the RSS Discovery.

Other notable inclusions are Norwegian capital Oslo, famous for its architecture, and the Mediterranean island of Corsica, known for its stunning scenery and wonderful climate.

Across the Atlantic, the historic Mexican city of San Miguel de Allende with its famous church just misses out making it into the top 5 positions, resting in 6th place.

Completing the list lying in 19th place is the Transylvanian city of Sibiu in Romania.
