Aberdeen Airport has this week announced that more flights between the North East airport and Bergen are set to be added later this year.
Starting in September, Widerøe Airline will be adding an additional departure on a Sunday and a third daily flight on a Wednesday bringing the total number of weekly flights to 13.
Recently, the airline also increased the number of flights it operates between Aberdeen and another Norwegian city – Stavanger to five per week.
Steve Szalay, Managing Director Aberdeen International Airport said: “We’re pleased that Widerøe is further strengthening its presence here at Aberdeen International Airport.”
“Bergen is an important business and leisure destination for us and we warmly welcome Widerøe’s decision to provide yet more flights for passengers.”
“By September our terminal transformation project will have reached completion and we look forward to welcoming passengers to the new and improved airport facilities.”
Just last week, Aberdeen Airport announced new winter flights to London Heathrow with the airport’s Managing Director stating that the return of flights to Frankfurt and London Gatwick were a priority for the airport.
