An unexpected new attraction has been unveiled inside one of Norwich’s most historic buildings.

As part of a ‘Seeing it Differently’ campaign that aims to give visitors a different experience of the church, Norwich Cathedral has recently installed a colourful helter skelter ride that sits in the heart of one of Norwich’s most famous landmarks.

Rising 15 metres, the ride is open to visitors until Sunday 18 August. Check it out below.

Ride-goers climbing up the helter skelter will be treated to great views of the roof and windows before enjoying the helter skelter back down to the cathedral floor.

Alternative activities available as part of the campaign also include a 30-minute salvation tour.

Visitors are encouraged to share their experiences of the cathedral on social media using the hashtag #SeeingitDifferently.
