Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Doors Open Days is set to take place this weekend across select parts of Scotland.

As part of the third weekend of Doors Open Days, participating venues in Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee, Fife West, Highland – Caithness and Stirling will open to the public for free.

As well as providing the chance to go behind the scenes of historical buildings, courthouses and cinemas are also taking part.

In Aberdeenshire, the public will be able to visit a number of famous buildings including Braemar Castle (pictured), Fyvie Church, RNLI Stonehaven and St Cyrus Nature Reserve.

Parts usually closed off to the public will be accessible at Broughty Castle in Broughty Ferry.

Elsewhere, in Dundee, film fans will also be able to go behind the scenes at a local cinema.
